The first step in treating lesions of the jaws is to perform a biopsy to obtain an accurate diagnosis. Once the diagnosis is known, appropriate treatment can be performed to result in the ideal outcome. This treatment could be as simple as a minor drainage of a cyst to a more complex removal and reconstruction of the area.
